Writer's Guidelines - Luxury Latin America
Most of the reviews and features in Luxury Latin America are furnished by veteran travel writers and well-traveled guidebook authors who are acknowledged experts. They have stayed in hundreds of hotels and know the difference between a standout and an also-ran. They can evaluate tour companies with authority and have a keen eye for detail, comparing their experience to similar ones in Asia, Europe, and North America.
If this sounds like you and you're interested in becoming a contributor, please send a short query and a link to your portfolio site to editor [at} luxurylatinamerica.com. If we like what we see, we will send more detailed guidelines and payment information.
We are mainly interested in luxury tour and excursion stories that cover the cream of the crop in terms of options and outfitters in Mexico, Central America, and South America. No routine tours or guided trips run by routine companies. No mass-market tourism stories: we want tales of personal attention and exclusivity, for discerning travelers who are more concerned about service than price.
Most of our hotel reviews are assigned to writers we know well, but if you see a region that has not been covered yet, it may still be open for reviews. At the moment we are interested in writers who can cover portions of Mexico, including Mexico City, Guanajuanto, the West Coast from Manzanillo on down, and the Baja Peninsula. We still need to cover several wine lodges in Chile. In the distant future we will need correspondents for Brazil and Bolivia.
Study the current reviews and stories to see what we are looking for. If you want to get an idea of who else is writing for us, see the Contributors page.
